The Midlands Rose Society held their annual Rose Show at Blackwoods Nursery over the
weekend of the 26 th  and 27 th  October.
 
Owing to the late snow in the Mooi River area and continuous rain the week before the
show, we didn’t have as many exhibitors as normal. However , we still had over 150 exhibits
on show.
 
Gill Wilson and Sally Morning both members and accredited ROSA judges, judged all the
exhibits.
 
The Queen of the Show was the beautiful Heritage rose, Comte de Chambord, shown by Gail
Birss
1st Princess was Johannesburg Garden Club, shown by Gail Birss
2 nd  Princess was Elena, shown by Val Pohl
 
Kate Wallace scored the most points at the Show.
This year we had a big display in the novice section, and this was won Fahraad Khan
 
We would like to thank Blackwoods Nursery for hosting us once again and supplying the
prizes for the Raffle.
